                    Welcome

Please allow me to introduce myself.

I live in the Gateway Greens Community and also own commercial property in Gateway’s Towne Lake Park. Have been a resident and a commercial property owner for 16 years. I am running for Seat # 4 on the Gateway Services Community Development District (GSCDD) Board of Supervisors.   This website has been setup so that I may convey my reasons for wanting to represent you on the GSCDD Board, and to answer any questions that you may have. When I am elected to the board I will continue to host this website to keep you informed on every detail of this community whether large or small.

Email me at:  Vinces@comcast.net

 My Goals:

bullet

Investigate every cost line item in the GSCDD accounts, negotiate cost reduction with vendors and minimize waste. Review my three step plan here.

bullet

Ensure our Landscaping Contractor and other Vendors are properly supervised and  they deliver real value for the money.

bullet

Meet with WCI and Lee County DOT to expedite the turnover of our main roadways Gateway Blvd. and Griffin Dr. to Lee County so that Gateway residents will not be burdened with the heavy costs of maintenance and liability insurance. Let the County who already receives our tax dollars to take care of these public roadways.

bullet

Ensure GSCDD continues to maintain the existing lush landscaping along all of our public roadways within our District, once the roadways are turned over to the county.

My pledge as a GSCDD Board member  is to ensure that all residents are kept informed of every aspect of its operation.  This includes meeting minutes, budgets, hiring of services and any other matters that impacts  our community. My aim is to be completely transparent.

I am steadfast in my mission to make this a better, more interesting community and to engage the interest of a large number of residents in this task.  I am a person who will question the cost-benefit of every cent that GSCDD spends. I will see the job through and make sure that our policies, rules and practices are properly implemented and followed.

Even though Florida Statue 190  allows the GSCDD Board  to approve and spend any amount of your money on improvements in the community, I will always make sure to have any big ticket items brought before the residents for a vote.  I am strongly against personal agendas and believe that a majority vote is always necessary when the residents are going to be billed for a major improvement.

Thank you,

Vince Sardo
